Amy Moreland is a Project Manager of UTeach Implementation and Evaluation Support with the UTeach Institute, offering intensive technical, evaluation, and organizational support services for national partner replication sites since 2012.
Amy graduated from UT Austin with a PhD in STEM Education in 2011 and has a MS in Biology from the University of North Texas (2000). With a background in and passion for environmental science, she has remained connected to the field by being involved with groups such as Sierra Club Austin and by serving as a board member and president of the Informal Science Education Association of Texas (2007 – 2014). She is also adjunct faculty at Austin Community College, teaching Introduction to Environmental Science to early college high school students.
If you like the Austin music scene, you may find her playing mandolin in the local bluegrass/Americana troupe, Brand New Key. Amy also co-owns and runs the indie recording studio Crosspick Studio and Records.
