Tracie is the Project Manager for Implementation and Site Support with the UTeach Institute. Her work primarily focuses on building relationships with partner sites and helping them navigate implementation of the UTeach program model. Tracie is passionate about efforts that seek to diversify representation in STEM fields, and is currently managing the HBCUTeach initiative, a partnership seeking to address the shortage of African American STEM teachers.
Tracie has been with the Institute since September 2011. Prior to joining the Institute Tracie worked in education policy and outreach at the Institute for Public School Initiatives at the UT System office, and as a Program Director at the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board. Tracie graduated from UT Austin with a PhD in Education Leadership and Policy in 2019 and has a Master’s degree in Public Affairs from the Lyndon Baines School.
For fun: Tracie enjoys spending time with her family, and listening to good music.
